We hosted our first Tacky Christmas Party last week. It was supposed to be an ugly Christmas sweater party but after going to 3 goodwills, 1 Bealls Outlet, 1 Salvation Army and 3 thrift stores and leaving empty handed we changed the parimeters of the party.
On a side note........where we live is absolutely absurd. We have a townhouse and there is no visitor parking......just ask Kyles car which was towed after Andrew parked the car in the pool parking lot for an hour while he power washed our driveway. The worst part about the rules is they change weekly. So we had to ask for special permission to have visitors park at the pool. After much discussion we were granted 5 parking passes and the catch was that everyone had to leave by 1am. Under no such premise, even if you are an owner may any vehicles be parked at the pool from 1am-7am. Cars are also not allowed to be parked on grass and all 4 tires have to be in the driveway or such violator will be towed. It pretty much sucks to have parties or visitors.
Phew.....can you tell that I have a lot of hostility towards our HOA??
So the party was grand. We had a great time mingling with friends and even managed to have a fire out back which I am sure violated rule 4102.3 section b. Good thing we have great neighbors who didn't mind a bit or at least didn't call the cops.
