My dad informed me that someone broke into his house yesterday during broad daylight and ransacked the house. They used a screw driver to pop the front lock and went in and took his laptop, tv, jewelry, a substantial amount of cash, and a few family heirlooms. He filed a police report and was told even if your stuff is recovered, if you don't have pictures you can't prove that it was yours to begin with.
So some creep, has our family heirlooms that mean the world to us and have absolutely no dollar value.....I am sure they will learn that when they take it to the pawn shop hoping to make a quick buck. My dad lives on a busy street where you would think someone would see someone ransacking the place in the middle of the day. Luckily no one was hurt and no one was home.....my Grams has been staying there and my dads fiancee works evening and usually sleeps during the day.
Morale of the story is no matter how safe you think you are, crime is always around. Crime happens in small towns, big towns, rich towns, poor towns, etc. I don't know what is happening to Naples; a couple of months ago some creep stole our fishing stuff off the boat, we witnessed people stealing liquor, my dads house gets ransacked, and someone stole a UPS off package off Matt's back porch. GRRR....get a job and make money the old fashion way. Alright I am off my soap box and off to bed!
