Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday. I love everything about it. I love the magic, plays, Christmas carols, being with family, etc. This is the second year my parents have spent Christmas with us. They usually are here for about 48 hours and we pack it all in. We went to downtown Ft. Myers the first night, on the boat the next day, made it to Xmas eve service. We had our annual Chinese food for dinner on Xmas Eve followed by a Christmas movie. It was just perfect. Christmas day turned out to be a little stressful for Andrew. On Xmas morning he opened the garage and saw a decent piece of plaster on his freshly washed car. We knew about 4 days before Xmas that we had to replace our air conditioning but it couldn't be done until after the holidays. Come to find out, the air conditioning was leaking which caused the plaster to drop on to car. He sort of turned into crazy person and cut a big hole in the garage ceiling. Fast forward to finding mold, then dropping his phone and shattering it. Everything he touched that day broke. He was ready to check himself into Park Royal (psych hospital). Good news is he pulled himself together and we had an amazing dinner. We dealt with the air conditioning and mold for the next 6 weeks.
Downtown Ft Myers.
We were just dying laughing at Andrew and Mike barely being able to fit into their Xmas PJ's. Andrew kept kidding that she bought a youth size L.
I am truly blessed to have parents that can get along and spend holidays together despite being divorced. Seriously, it is a such a wonderful feeling to not have to choose sides. Props to my step parents for also not making my parents choose sides.
