16-19 months

Oh Brayson boy. Right after we found out we were pregnant you became a cranky donkey. You cried lots, threw yourself on the floor and overall just became downright cranky. The crazy thing is when you were with other people (besides daycare) you were perfect. Even Miss Jamie was back to giving you two naps a day.  We were even looking into boarding school for two year olds (I kid I kid).   You freaked out in the morning if you came into the bedroom like we have done every day for the last 16 months. You would lose it if your dad went downstairs without you.   Pretty much everything would set you off. The good news is  just like all phases it passed and now you are back to being Mr. Wonderful and we cancelled the boarding school.

You are down right hilarious. You make me laugh non stop. Your newest thing is saying no and shaking your head at the same time.  You never say yes and your no is so convincing....like you really mean it.
"Brayson, did you have fun today."
"No"
"Did you miss us? "
"No"
"do you want to be a big brother?"
"No"

You have also become a better passenger in the car. (thank goodness).  We now leave a pacifier in the cup holder which you dive for when you get in the car and automatically spit it into cup holder when we leave the car.  We definitely weren't planning ahead when we bought you a white lovey. Bowser never leaves your side. We have imposter bowser at Jamies and in your bed but you only prefer the original bowser.  During your difficult couple of weeks bowser started going to daycare with you.  We have had to make more than one trip in the evening to go retrieve bowser from Jamies.  We finally made some rules that we had to really work on. Like no bowser at the table and no bowser when you are running around outside. Bowser still is black by the end of the week.

We need to work on sharing with you. Right now you like your mama and dadas undivided attention and that includes not even petting the cat when we are playing with you. If the kitties come to close, you will say no and basically tell them to shoo. We kid that you are awfully bossy like your YaYa. You pat the ground next to you and want us to sit next to you or stand where you tell us to and play ball with you.  even at daycare you are always in Jamies lap and she said she really has to work with you on sharing.

You are obsessed with balls. You pretty much have a ball in one hand and bowser in the other.  You are predominantly left handed and really have an arm on you. You say "fooootball" so darn cute that I hope I never forget it. You love to say "basskkketball" too.

I think your most favorite people are Pop Pop and grampy. It really makes Mimi and Yaya quite sad. When they pull in the driveway you automatically run and look for them and grab their hand. You love playing with them and when Yaya and Mimi try to play or grab your hand you say, "no".

I swear when you turned 18.5 months your vocabulary started booming. I might be a little biased but I have always thought you were advanced, especially for a boy. Studies show boys don't typically talk  as early as girls. You have always said a bunch of words but now you are saying words like peacock and pointing to lizards and saying "gecko."   You point to the garbage can and say trash. Last week you even put two words together, "no dada" when he was trying to take off your shirt and "let go".  We don't ever give you juice but you have been pretty constipated so we gave you some watered down apple juice. You took big swig, said yummmm….juice.  We keep wondering where you learn all this from.

From the time we found out we were pregnant we talked about the baby and you automatically started pulling up my shirt and pointing towards my belly. In the morning you will kiss the baby. I hope you guys are the best of friends.

We have really lucked out with you. You are the greatest little guy, a great listener, an awesome helper. When we sit down for any meal you put out your hands to pray. You put your clothes in the hamper, you put stuff in the trash.  We haven't had to baby proof because all we have to do is say no one time and your leave it alone. The funniest thing you do is use a coaster for your cup.  I always thought Andrew put it down and he thought I did. You are definitely an observer.
