Year 2

Ahhhh year 2!!!  Sometimes it feels like 50 and sometimes it feels like yesterday.  This was Andrews year to plan our anniversary festivities (he gets even and I get the odd years).  We have lots of trips coming up so we decided to have a staycation.  We stayed at Andrews families condo.  It has lots of sentimental value and is one of my most favorite places and it is not bad on the ole eyes.
Little slice of heaven

Thursday I took the day off work and headed down to the beach.  Andrew met me down there after he finished with all of his appointments.  We watched the sunset and then headed down to one of our favorite restaurants.  We had a delicious meal at USS Nemos.  Yum yum yum.

Friday morning we woke up and it was overcast so we decided to go visit my Dad in Naples.  After our visit we had a picnic lunch at Lowdermilk park and then headed to Waterside shops.  That night we had a couples massage scheduled.   I am happy to report it was a pleasant experience and there was no questionable behavior like last time.      We were supposed to go to dinner that night but it was pouring so we just had a quiet night in.

Saturday morning Andrew rented paddle boards.  Holy moly was it hard work and it didn't help that the boards weighed 75lbs.  The balance thing was a piece of cake......the whole paddling against current was another thing.  We wanted to go to a restaurant but they are a lot closer by boat then when you are paddling.  Even with the current kicking the gulf was beautiful and clear as glass.  We saw a sea turtle,  dolphin, crabs, tons of fish, etc.   We aborted our restaurant mission and Andrew knew a short cut back home.  Well needless to say the shortcut no longer existed and we had to carry our boards to the next body of water.  That body of water also happened to be a dead end.  We had to carry our boards to the gulf and walked right in between the nude beach.  Oh don't mind me as I walk next to your naked body carrying my board.  Then we paddled right next to a naked guy applying sunscreen ALL over and another naked man trying to make small talk as we paddled by.  I don't know about you but making small talk to naked people is just not my thing.  Once again i am pretty sure I know why clothes were invented and why they are mandatory.  We had a nice little chuckle about our nude encounter.

Saturday night we watched the sunset from the porch and then went to dinner at Seasons 52. It was delicious and lived up to all of the hype.

Love the panoramic view on my phone

Sunday morning we hung out by the pool.  We packed up our stuff early because we wanted to check out Taste of Coconut Point.  Unfortunately it was hotter than Haiti so we "tasted" real fast and then headed home.  The weekend went by way too fast!
The location 2 years ago
We thought we were going to have to photo shop each other into the picture but luckily someone walked by.
Year 2
And that concludes year two.  I am excited for what is in store for year three.
